EVHS Library Home

Meet your librarian: Mrs. Julie Chien

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Chien, and I'm so excited to join y'all at EVHS!  I am originally from Southern California and moved to Georgetown with my family in 2021.  I have a B.A. in History, am a certified Library Technician, am working on my Master's in Library Science at the University of North Texas, and have been a teacher for the past 20 years.

Before I was a teacher, I served in the U.S. Army as an Arabic Linguist.  I lived in Egypt for five years and speak, read, and write Arabic.  My husband is a pilot with SkyWest Airlines, and together we have four children (ages 22, 21, 20, and 14) and two dogs.  I hope to create a safe, welcoming space in the EVHS Library and establish it as a hub for community learning and discussion.
