Sarah Burton
About Me: Hello and welcome to physics! I am excited to get to know each of you this year. I have been a teacher for 10 years, 8 of those at EVHS. I'm a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in Civil Engineering while competing for the Lady Longhorns cross-country and track teams. Before becoming a teacher, I was a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer. During my time in the engineering field, I worked on a variety of projects ranging from transit and rail design, water resources improvement projects, floodplain mapping and modeling, and disaster recovery and mitigation. It was an exciting career full of interesting challenges with no two projects being exactly the same. I look forward to bringing some of that real world experience into the classroom and helping students recognize and appreciate the physics that is all around them!
