Emily Jimenez
I began my culinary career at Texas Culinary Academy, Le Cordon Bleu. After years of working in the culinary industry I returned to Le Cordon Bleu and became a pastry chef instructor. I later found my home at East View High School as the culinary arts teacher. I love teaching and helping students discover their own culinary journey. In my class we work hard, have fun and have lots of hands on learning. We are in the kitchen on average once a week, and yes! you get to eat what you cook!! This class is fun, but safety and professionalism is our top priority because you are working in a professional kitchen with the same tools you would use in a restaurant. You will also have the opportunity to join our Culinary Club-FCCLA! I am the advisor and we meet weekly. This is a great way to make friends and help serve our community! Our Culinary Club members also have the opportunity to try out for our Culinary Arts Competition teams. We have been very successful over the years, competing at both State and National levels! Over all we have an amazing time in Culinary Arts. I believe if you work hard and are kind to people then you can find success in any situation.
