Coach Travis Purcell

Coach Travis Purcell is entering his 5th year in GISD and his 2nd year at East View High School. Coach Purcell played an integral role in the success of the Patriots last year as the team captured the first district and area championships in school history.  Prior to his arrival at East View, Coach Purcell spent the previous three years teaching and coaching at Wagner Middle School.

Coach Purcell attended Texas A&M University and earned an education degree in 2020; Coach Purcell teaches math.

When he isn't on campus, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Savannah, listening to live music, playing basketball and competing on the golf course.
